The Life We Live

Remember the moot loaf baking in a parched oven,

as the mother of a senile gossoon,

churns the curd in an endless lagoon.

Remember the swollen sloth,

as languorous as a blind shrew

seeping on our tolen couch.

Remember the sound, GLOOOP!

A fleshy, salmon tinted slug falls

from the crevice in the breathing wall.

Remember peering out into the yard,

and watching the dissected pig graze the grass

without missing a single shard.

Do you enjoy the life we live,

As we trot on a screeching goat

selling the milk he gives?

Maybe people would be shaped like hearts and float like bubbles

Maybe there would be little creatures with funky teeth that eat candy hearts

Would people be afraid?...

The chocolate would move like worms into the peoples stomachs

Maybe the fish would make plays about hearts eating hearts

The animals would make the sound of a beating heart

Would the Earth feel like balloons and cake?

The trees would make apples that taste like candy

Maybe everything would be alive with vibrant reds and pinks

Maybe there would be no war...just love!

Would there be birds morphing into cupcakes?

THE FLOWERS WOULD SPIT RAINBOWS INTO MY EYES!
